ABOUT

“Life is too short… so do what you love,

be with people who make you happy,

live simply, try new things, and SMILE!”

That’s my wife’s and my motto.  Some folks think our lifestyle is crazy, while others think we are the luckiest people on earth.

Robert V. Scrivener III

It’s official, I’m finally a HAM! Truth be told, I put the notion out of my mind to take the test years ago because I was intimidated by the code. I was a kid back then, just in high school, and life happened and I didn’t bother in pursuing amateur radio as a hobby, yet it was always in the back of my mind.

I’m a musician, photographer, and graphic artist. My wife and I work together in our business, Scrivener Solutions, where we help small businesses grow by delegating.

In 2011, we officially became full-time RVers.  It was liberating to sell most of our possessions and move into our 389 sq ft of our 2003 Alfa SeeYa.  Some thought we were crazy, others were envious. We did it because we wanted a simpler life. Living small and being free to change our front yard when we want to spells FREEDOM to us.

We modified furnishings in our coach to make a perfect home office for the two of us. We obviously aren’t retired, so we have to make a living somehow.  We pour all our time in photography, music, and business consulting.

In 2015, we decided that we wanted to “go smaller” when we travel. We wanted to go to places our RV wouldn’t dare go, so we added our roof-top tent as our summer home! For our maiden voyage, we left our RV parked in MO, and set out for a month to the Smoky Mountains with the roof-top tent strapped to our Subaru Outback. We took our time and never once got onto an Interstate. Highways, byways, and back roads is where we like to be.

Late in 2015, the HAM itch surfaced again. I passed my Technician on 11-25-2015. Then, thanks to the peer pressure of WØEBV, I passed my General on 01-09-2016. I passed my my Extra on 03-28-2016!!!!

My original call sign was KEØGTT…NØRVS is my vanity sign. I think I might keep it for a while since the last three letters are my initials.

Thanks for visiting my website. I hope you find it a helpful resource and a place for your QSL cards. I hope to be talking to you over the airwaves soon.
